The Scope of Work guidelines speak to appropriate boundaries within a tutor and learner working relationship, as well as other resources available within our community.
READ Ottawa strongly encourages the use of public places and buildings when meeting or tutoring

A summary of the commitments one makes as a READ Ottawa tutor.
Respecting the privacy of our clients, donors, members, staff, and volunteers is a basic value of READ Ottawa. This form dictates how our organization and stakeholders do so.
The Learner Attendance Policy exists to support tutor/learner pairs struggling with attendance.
READ Ottawa is committed to supporting learners as they grow towards their goals.
READ Ottawa believes in the health and safety of all involved with our program and acknowledges that sometimes unintended incidents occur when least expected, such as accidents, injuries, medical situations, and questionable behavior incidents. To report any such incident, please use the Incident Report Form.
Transportation Waivers
In some circumstances, tutors choose to offer transportation to adult learners.
Tutors and Learners must complete a liability waiver to do so.

Please consider allowing READ Ottawa to use
your likeness, name, picture and/or video in local media and/or marketing.
Please complete for information sharing when appropriate.
Every effort will be made to support the tutor in the responsibilities required of a READ
Ottawa tutor. These procedures guide practice for any tutor who should dismissal be appropriate.
READ Ottawa provides literacy assessments for all learners enrolled in our program.
