Stormie Drake has long history of experience as a nonprofit administrator and educator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and English Language Arts and she is currently obtaining a Master’s Degree of Administration in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Organizations. Her role as an educator allows her to present professional development training to other educators, nonprofit staff, and social workers across the state of Michigan. She has previously held roles as an Educational Social Worker, Teacher, and Director. Stormie and her husband live in Fennville and care for five special needs pets. She enjoys reading, writing, and cooking.

Born in Iowa, but raised in Wisconsin, and a resident of Michigan since 1994, Marisol is a true Midwesterner at heart. Marisol has both a BA in Psychology and Religion, and a MSW in Social Work with an emphasis in Marriage & Family therapy. She is happily married, and a mother to two children and a rescue dog. Marisol started with READ Ottawa as a volunteer in 2012. She then took over at the Pair Coordinator in 2013, and has served the organization in that capacity since. Marisol loves the people she gets to meet in her job, and is proud to serve her community by working with READ Ottawa.

Jill started with READ Ottawa as the Volunteer Coordinator in 2020. In 2021, she transitioned to the role of Pair Coordinator for Holland/ Zeeland. She is also a public policy researcher and has a Bachelor’s in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration. Jill resides in Zeeland with her husband and three children that attend Zeeland Public Schools (ZPS) and are active in sports and activities, which keeps her active in the community. She is a board member of the Holland Hockey Association and volunteers with ZPS and Immanuel Church. Jill loves to read, run, and be outside with her family.

Lynn Groothuis is a graduate of Calvin College with BA in Education. She has taught at
Zeeland Christian School since 1988 in the regular classroom and most currently as the visual arts instructor. Lynn has a passion for mentoring and has served in that role for the Ethnic Diversity Alliance, 70×7 Ministry, Alternative Education in Grand Haven and more. She believes strongly in the power that literacy brings and is committed to helping foster dignity in every learner. In her free time Lynn enjoys golfing and hiking with her husband as well as collecting interesting driftwood on the beaches of west Michigan.
